Quite simply, we are the UK's foremost, most proactive users of Tekla Oy's Tekla Structures 3D detailing and modelling software.

Why Tekla Structures?
Tekla Structures is fast becoming the worldwide standard for structural solid modelling, fabrication detailing and production, and we at Kennedy Watts have made it our mission to properly train our modellers and checkers to fully undertand the capabilities of the software, and to utilise it to its full potential.

Powerful
reporting tools and template design provide the capability to rapidly adapt to individual clients' practices, presentation and data requirements.

The capability
of the mutli-user facility, when properly employed, provides enormous flexibility to increase manpower when a particular contract requires acceleration, in addition to allowing several phases of a contract to be worked on simultaneously.

TEKLA are a software company dedicated to continual improvement based on customer feedback, and Kennedy Watts have always been instrumental in providing constructive comments to enable the system to grow and progress.
We realise the importance of continuity and consistency for our clients, which is why we firmly believe that Tekla Structures (formerly Xsteel) has a firm future as the worldwide market leader in structural fabrication preparation software.

The advantages of using the accuracy of 3D detailing have been well chronicled, but having used Tekla Structures since the early versions of Xsteel for more than 10 years, our own list of major advantages would include;

  • Fast, accurate production of quality, consistently presented fabrication drawings
  • Effortless supply of accurate CAM/nc data which can be easily tailored and/or post-processed to suit most of the world's major structural steelwork production machinery
  • Presentation quality general arrangement drawings and 3D model visualizations
  • Interaction and data compatability with most 3D design and modellign software
