In April 2008 a management buyout saw Brain Kennedy and Nick Watts give up their majority shareholding in the company and step into semi-retirement.
Although Brian and Nick are still employed by the company on a consultancy basis the new management team, consisting of Robert Hirst, Ashley Schultz and Dave Nuttall, are responsible for the running and future direction of the company.
The company would like to thank Brian and Nick for all their hard work in bringing the company up to its current level and we wish them every success in their future ventures.
Robert, Ashley and Dave have 80 years combined experience within the industry with all three directors having previously worked for different mainstream fabricators before joining the Kennedy Watts Partnership.
Their varied backgrounds including light and heavy plate work, mechanical and materials handling, industrial and commercial buildings, low rise portals and high rise multi-storey frames and stadia.
The Shard London Bridge, known as the Shard of Glass, will be modelled by Kennedy Watts.
This iconic structure, when it is completed in 2012, will be the tallest building in the UK at 310m tall.
Kennedy Watts are proud to have been selected to model and detail the steel frame for Severfield-Rowen Plc.
The composite steel and concrete frame will be modelled by KWP using the advanced technology available within Tekla Structures and will present a challenging geometric modelling exercise.
The latest projects include the 12,000 tonne Heron Tower in Bishopsgate will be topped by a 44 metre mast, making it the tallest building in the UK.
